Under the supervision and direction of the CQO, plans, develops and organizes the operation of the Medical Affairs department including credentialing, appointments and reappointments of MD, CRNA, PA, and Midwives; arranges and organizes the internal peer review for physicians, formulates committee agendas and maintains the minutes, rosters, and assists the Physician Advisor. Provides assistance to the medical staff and other credential staff in all areas. Manages the offices of Quality and Risk Management, maintains inventories and the ordering of supplies. Provides administrative support to physician committees and assists with pertinent correspondence. Maintains, in survey readiness, the quality files for hospital providers and staff.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; baccalaureate degree in a health or business related field is preferred.
Experience: Three to five years administrative experience with a minimum of one year experience in hospital medical secretarial background preferred, including proficiency in computer skills.
Licenses/Certificates: Certification in Medical Staff Credentialing, or related certification, preferred.
