Summary:
Assists in the care of patients under the direction of a RN, handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure, has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. Ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, graduate of Certified Surgical Technician program preferred.
- One year of experience as a Surgical Tech, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Current Certificate as a Certified Surgical Technician is preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
