Why does the job exist? Incumbent will provide nursing care to meet the needs of clients of the Long Term Care.
Incumbent will assist in the development of individualized services plan of care and contributes to the nursing process.
How does it get done? Incumbent will administrate all types of medication to include oral and injectable for the purpose of relieving anxiety, controlling behavior and treating physical problems.
Charts medications and documenting the patient response to medication.
Who are the customers? Patients/Residents/Clients Ideal Candidate Ideal candidate will have:
Experience in providing comprehensive nursing care; Experience in administration of all types of medications; Experience working in a hospital setting; Experience working with treatment teams.
Minimum Qualification Licensure as LPN or LVN.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions This position will perform work in a hospital and office setting with exposure to Visual Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
Exposure to mentally and behaviorally challenged residents who may exhibit unpredictable and sometimes violent behaviors in volatile situations required.
Effective 01/01/2015, New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became a 100% Tobacco Free/ E-Cigarette Free Campus.
